What is the A‑Series?
The A‑series is the most common international standard for paper sizes. Each size is half the area of the previous one when folded parallel to its shorter sides.
Other Common Sizes
Besides A‑sizes, you may encounter B‑series (used for posters and envelopes) and C‑series (mainly for envelopes).
Choosing the Right Size
For everyday documents, A4 is standard. For promotional materials, A5 or A6 are popular. For large displays, A2 or larger may be best.
